Home › How to Choose a Real Estate Coach
Searching for the best or top-rated real estate coach in Tallahassee? Rankings are easy to fake, so here is a better way to decide: a checklist of what matters and the questions to ask any coach, including us.
The most useful question is simple: does this person actively do what they teach? A coach who has done many deals in your local market can tell you what actually works here, from what contractors cost to how sellers respond. Ask how long they have been investing, what kinds of deals they have done, and whether they are still doing them.
Be careful with big claims you can't check. Reasonable coaches can point to a real history: closed deals, projects you can see, and local professionals who know them.
Many "best coach" lists are paid placements or self-published. Look at the substance instead: the coach's real track record, how clearly they explain risk, and how comfortable you feel asking hard questions.
We invite you to hold us to the same checklist. Our coaches, Lee and Tim, have been active full-time investors since 2014 in the Tallahassee area. You can start with a free one-hour class, so you can judge the teaching before spending anything. Coaching appointments are in person, and we tell you the risks, because real estate investing carries them. Read more about Lee and Tim, and ask us anything on the list above.
It depends on you and the coach. A good one can help you avoid expensive mistakes, but no coach can guarantee results. Compare the cost to what you'd realistically gain, and get the terms in writing.
A local coach knows local costs, sellers, and professionals, which matters in real estate. It also makes in-person meetings possible.
